Tom McGrath, Chief Executive Officer - designing and developing renewable energy, lighting systems, film productions, and cleantech projects in 34 countries over 30 years, including village-level community Solar Thermal Energy case studies in Ithaca, NY for deployment in African villages; a celebrated water documentary on the decimation of Canadian fishing villages from Tar Sands extraction; speaker appointments on Sustainability at the Milken Institute CA Summit and on Sister-City tours with the City of Los Angeles to Berlin and Sao Paolo; and innovative collaborations for SmartBuildings & SmartCampuses in CA and New England.
Tom is CEO of VITAL and CSO of Bioproducts Innovation Center, in affiliation with LA Cleantech Incubator. Tom holds PMP and CRRA ZeroWaste certifications, and has been a member of five (5) national film unions (NABET-15, 53 and IATSE-52, 600, 728). Eileen Doohan, Chief Operations Officer - cut her teeth on appropriate tech as a community developer in Fiji with the Peace Corps, then innovated along the bleeding edge of high tech back when Unix & C were still young, mobile tech and now cleantech projects for over 30 years with NEC (Japan), Alcatel (Germany) and NTT DoCoMo (Japan), plus newly-minted start-ups and public private partnerships int he US, Japan, Jamaica, UK and New Zealand.
Eileen founded an interactive literacy gaming NGO for reading enrichment and worked as a Manager of ITU 3G/4G partnerships for high-speed, IP-based telemetric mobile systems. She also serves as EVP for Partnerships at www.RenewableNations.us, an #SDGAction13739, member of Coordinating Committee for ClimateECOS.org, Director of GloCha.org, and COO of VITALcleantech.com & www.Bioproducts.Center, a collaboration with LA Cleantech Incubator. Her key interests are accelerating climate action with Pop-up Tech & Music Events for Climate, Global Benchmarks & Dashboards through action research for sustainability eduction that scales to empower and transform youth of all ages, Triple Bottom Line Accounting, Food Loss and Waste + Healthy Soils, and Sustainable Project Finance. George Cooper, Chief Development Officer - has been a principal Owner/Developer and Managing Partner of a number significant projects over the past 30 years ranging from a Wind Turbine park in Tehachapi, CA to a 2000 acre Almond farm in Modesto California. George partnered with a major Japanese Investor to acquire, rezone and entitle an 11,500 acre property in Hawaii and produced one of the first organic Macadamia farms on the Island. He then arranged a donation of several thousand acres of land and coastline to the Hawaii Land Trust for preservation, and invited University of Hawaii agronomists to source exotic crops that could prosper at various "micro-climates" on his Farm. George developed successful businesses both in Australia and Taiwan to bring Investor immigrants into the US (EB-5) that were sponsored by Senator Ted Kennedy.
George co-developed with Institutional Partners five residential apartment communities totaling over 500 homes and acquired over 1200 apartment units in Atlanta, El Paso, Houston and Dallas. In the past six years, George developed a "master planned" community of 823 single family home sites, and took a large cattle grazing property, obtained entitlements, graded, irrigated, and planted 274,000 Almond seedlings... which are now yielding their second harvest. George has produced two Independent Films that he co-funded, and is an ASCAP publisher of music catalogues he and his partners created. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of QHydrogen Solutions Corporation (Park City) and TVI Corporations (TV Interactive - Los Gatos California). George graduated from Cal State University Northridge with a B.A. in Public Administration and took graduate business courses at UCLA. George enjoys skiing, sailing and UCLA Bruins basketball. |
Paul Allen, Chief Technology Officer - developing technology and producing creative projects with Triple Bottom Line benefits for over 30 years. Paul has received 2 UN Humanitarian Awards for "Sun City - Artists Against Apartheid". He is an active member of the TV Academy, and was appointed UN Earth Ambassador, nominated for 2 Grammy Awards and won an Emmy Award for Technical Operations of the NBC Centennial Olympics 1996.
Paul serves as sustainable technology advisor to US Congressperson Karen Bass (CA-37, member of House Committee on Foreign Affairs where she is Chair of the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations; and also Chair of Congressional Black Caucus). His key interests are high-impact Stakeholder Engagement, Pop-up Tech & Music Events for Climate, and Joint Venture Structuring. Paul graduated from CUNY (BAS, Communications, Queens College; MA, English, Brooklyn College). He enjoys technology, music and film events. |
